This winter, I had the opportunity to work with Mei Apothecary, a producer of jade and rose quartz rollers. As their product designer, I focused on branding and packaging of the product. Currently sold in Target!
Structure
The jade roller sits in a rectangular prism with an open window and transparent holder. This gives the user direct access to the product, establishing credibility, and showing the jade roller as the main focus.
Type
To many, the jade roller is unknown and foreign. To combat this, we include short phrases to emphasize the benefits of the roller. A sans serif text is used for increased readability and to match the simplicity of the jade roller.
Color
While white is a more common background, we chose a lighter green to enhance the color of the product and create unity. Now, when on shelves, the jade roller stands out, attracting potential customers.
